Diastasis Closure: When Can You Really Say It's Closed?

Your diastasis will be closed when you heal your connective tissue. As the connective tissue becomes shallower the muscles will come together.  Shallow connective tissue is strong connective tissue.

The two outermost muscles are joined together by a piece of connective tissue. That connective tissue will always be there so you cannot  close it entirely. It will never be muscle to muscle!

The belly button is the weak spot in the connective tissue so  it is possible with continuous force and pressure on it to re-separate the muscles.  The shallower the connective tissue the harder it is to re-create a diastasis.
